About the Event

Indus Media Foundation & Sikh Heritage Museum of Canada is proud to share Promises, a powerful new film exploring service, sacrifice, family, identity, honour and belonging through the story of a Sikh Canadian veteran.

Set in Canada in 1995, Promises brings together two generations shaped by a promise made during the Second World War. Through memory, family and the lasting consequences of war, the film brings attention to stories of Sikh service and sacrifice that form an important the emotional cost of being left outside the official story of Canadian remembrance.

We invite our community, friends and supporters to experience Promises at IFFSA.
