The Sikh Heritage Museum of Canada’s Toshakhana: Twin Cities of the Sikhs Lahore to Amritsar gala brought together over 400 guests from across Canada for a sold out evening celebrating shared history, cultural legacy, and community leadership. Featuring rare historical exhibits, an exclusive art auction of significant artifacts, live performances, and a keynote address by Senator Baltej Singh Dhillon, the event marked a significant milestone in advancing SHMC’s national mission to preserve, present, and inspire understanding of Sikh heritage for future generations.

Impact Highlights
The 2025 Toshakhana gala welcomed over 400 guests from across Canada, with strong representation from leaders across government, business, and community sectors. The evening successfully achieved its fundraising objectives, made possible through the generous support of more than 30 sponsoring organisations and individuals committed to advancing cultural preservation.

Guests experienced an extraordinary exhibition featuring over 100 historically significant Sikh artifacts, offering a rare opportunity to engage with exculsive collections and the shared historical narrative from Lahore to Amritsar. Each piece reflected the depth, artistic legacy, and historical richness.

The keynote address was delivered by Senator Baltej Singh Dhillon, with a distinguished 30-year career in law enforcement and a lifelong commitment to community service, his story is one of resilience, leadership, and dedication to justice and today our proud Senator.

Proceeds from the evening directly support the Sikh Heritage Museum of Canada’s national initiatives, including the development of a permanent museum space, expansion of school and educational programming, digital archiving and collections preservation, and the delivery of exhibitions across Canada.
